Registrations FAQ's

Do I need a covid-19 vaccination certificate/pass to participate in the events?

For the 2022 events we have made a decision to only allow participants who can present a double vaccination certification or QR code pass. We aim at reducing, if not excluding, the risk of covid-19 transmission during our events, while at the same time ensuring the participants can enjoy the weekend with a minimum of administration or concern.

What happens if the event is cancelled due to covid-19?

If the local authorities prohibit an event taking place because of the covid-19 pandemic, or the event organizer decides the overall health of participants is at risk and cancels/postpones the event, you are entitled to one of the following compensations.

  1. Deferral of your registration to another event of your choice of the 2022 Nordic Gravel Series at no extra cost.

  2. Deferral of your registration to the same event during the 2023 season at no extra cost.

I would like to defer my registration?

Deferrals of registrations other than a covid-19 cancellation by the organizer (see above), are only accepted upon providing a doctor certificate valid during the specific event period. In this case you are entitled to a deferral during the 2022 or 2023 season. Registrations are otherwise non refundable but can be moved forward to a friend or relative. In that case you can request a free registration code to be passed on.

If you like to defer your registration to another 2022 event during the ongoing season this can be done no later than 30 days before the event at no extra cost.

I have a deferral registration from the 2021 season, how can I used it?

If you requested a deferral for a 2021 registration you will receive a registration code by January 15th latest. The code will allow you to signup for any event of your choice for the value paid at the time of your initial registration.

If you have a right for deferral and did not receive a registration code by January 15th please contact us: contact@nordicgravel.com

What types of bikes are allowed?

Our events allow any type of bikes that are able to handle the gravel roads and forest roads terrain. In general we recommend a tyre width of 35mm and more. Besides the recommended gravel/cyclocross bikes we allow mountainbikes, hybrid bikes and e-bikes. Road bikes with 28c or less tires are not allowed.

How do I pay my registration with Edenred / Smartum / e-Passi vouchers or credit?

In the app you search for Breakaway cc / Nordic Gravel Series and transfer the amount of your registration(s) fee(s). Upon receiving your Edenred / e-Passi / Smartum payment we provide you a registration discount code for the same value to be used on checkout. This option is only available in Finland.
Note that registrations with e-vouchers are deferrable but non-refundable.
